Heuristic Evaluation on Ubiq
Heuristic Evaluation is an evaluation method in which knowledge of typical users
is applied, often guided by heuristics, to identify usability problems. According to the Heuristic Evaluation Guideline, here are some usability pros and cons of Ubiq.

Visibility of System Satus
Match Between System
and the Real World

User Control and Freedom

Consistency and Standards

Error Prevention

Recognition Rather Than Recall

Flexibility and Efficiency of Use

I do not think the Ubiq gave enough information about what is going on.
The logging in UI was pretty much straight forward. But the other UI were not that user-friendly. Moreover, Unity, the software that I used to access Ubiq, was not friendly for ordinary users who just want to explore the world.
Lack of freedom and had no information regarding system functions. Unity supports undo, copy and paste button
The color and the mouse movement was consistent. I could not figure out what to do at first, but as I go through the process, I got used to it and realized that the buttons were pretty consistent. It did not take me a long time to get familiar with their UI system. Also, Unity is very consistent. The coding lines were in an icon with a green sharp sign. Other worlds were in unity logo sign. Materials were in png format with the small sized image.
Dialogs were simple. I do not think that Ubis is containing unnecessary information.
Cannot find any pro and con regarding this.
Cannot find any pro and con regarding this.
As I was building something into the game world, the Unity system periodically told me that the game world is saving.
It showed me red sign if there was an error in Unity. And it made a sound indicating that I cannot do that action.
There are no help center at all. Tutorials on YouTube was not enough to help me. I hope there was a tutorial steps at first when I logged into the world.
Measuring My Visit Experience

Ease of Use
⭐️⭐️
Not very friendly UI. Very hard to move back and forth between the screen mode and game mode. Didn’t know what kind of asset I had to put. Needed coding to add interaction elements

User Goals
⭐️⭐️⭐️
It will be a useful tool for people who want to create a simple 3D virtual world. The fact that you can interact with people through voice is very useful. But in order to achieve a goal with ubiq, you will need to know how to use unity and know how to do coding.

Joy of Use
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed the look of avatars. There were so many buttons with different functions that I cannot recognize, but I really enjoy clicking them and applying them into the game world. It will be more interesting if I could use this tool with VR machines.

Meaningfulness
⭐️⭐️
It would be meaningful for people who can do coding and who are eager to make a virtual world.

Overall
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I want to use Ubiq again in the future but to do that, I will have to learn how to use Unity. Also, I would bring my engineering friend to add many interaction elements through coding.

Thank you!
